Some childhood joys never really leave us, no matter how old we are. As silly or simple as they might be, these joyous moments settle into our memory—tucked away, ready to return at the slightest reminder. One of those childhood joys for me is grab bags.
Almost every fair I can remember going to as a child had a grab bag stall, and the grab bags I received never disappointed. Not because the items inside were always what I wanted, and certainly not because a brown bag folded at the top with two staples was eye-catching.
But that element of surprise, knowing something good was inside, created so much delight.
While I don’t remember the gifts (except spider rings for some reason…lol), I remember the moments and the joy I felt. That’s what I hope Tingum offers you—a reminder of the little joys and simple pleasures that create special memories.
Another way I want to sprinkle a little joy is by bringing this childhood favorite to the blog. A little surprise and delight sent to you!
Without spoiling the fun, here’s a hint at what you can expect:

Goodies From Small Businesses I Love
I have a heart for small businesses, and throughout the year, I’ll be featuring shops I’ve known for some time or that’ve become new favorites here on the blog. Some of these features will be tagged as grab bag posts and include instructions on how you can receive a surprise selection of items from that featured shop.

Goodies After A Game Of Hide And Seek
I’m adding another childhood favorite to the mix. From time to time, I’ll hide a gift icon like the one below somewhere on the website. If you find it, click on it to receive instructions on how to get your mystery grab bag. Fun! Fun!

Goodies For A Cause
In the future, I would love to have grab bags available for purchase, with 100% of the proceeds donated to a children’s charity. The grab bags will include items chosen from gift ideas you’re loving here on the blog, so be sure to comment on your favorites.
I’ll be attending a gifting market later this month and cannot wait to share some of my favorites and details for the first grab bag. Stay tuned!
